Support 137 Gin produce hand sanitiser for key-workers 27 March 2020

Debbie Burgess and Pete from 137 Gin have found a way to get hand-sanitiser production up and running, but they need our help!

You've probably seen many others across the world converting their businesses to help fill the any Coronavirus (COVID-19) related gaps.

Debbie Burgess and Pete from 137 Gin in Newbury are working on a hand-sanitizer production line, their current challenge is getting this vital commodity to the right places such as the GPs, soup kitchens, care-homes, schools and our emergency front line services in our local community.

As I’m sure you’ll appreciate this also comes at great cost so if you can accommodate anything at all they have posted on Facebook asking for help, so it only felt right to post it here!

Pete is providing all labour elements for this production on a voluntary basis, so there will be no costs taken from this fundraiser other than those to produce the products.

The aim is to provide local services sanitizer free of charge. Any remaining sanitizer will be offered to the community at cost, any funds raised will be used to buy materials for continued production. All of the additional funds will be split donated to local charities. In order to provide full transparency of how the funds raised will be used, Debbie has agreed to manage this element on behalf of the distillery.

If anyone has access to ethanol 96%, hydrogen peroxide 3%, glycerol 98% or suitable bottles to put the sanitizer in, please let them know.

If not, do you have the ability to spare a some money to help fund the next procurement?
