About little network

Our aim is to showcase and support local independent food and drink businesses. Find out how we can help you...

We love our local independent restaurants, cafes, bars, pubs and foodie favourites.

But these are challenging times for our local indies. For some, things weren’t easy before the Coronavirus pandemic took hold, now many are struggling and face an uncertain future.

little network was founded to showcase our great local eateries, drinking holes, producers, makers and bakers, and the products and services they offer.

We aim to support our local independents by making it easier for people to find these great places, discover what’s on offer and shop locally.

But we can’t do it without your support.

How you can help

It couldn’t be easier. Just contact us to recommend a local food or drink-based business (or better still, several) that you’d like to support. Or, if you’re an owner / manager, get in touch to add your business listing to this website. Then just keep us updated of what you’re doing, so we can share the news. Oh, and keep checking in to see what’s new.

Listings are free and will continue to be free in the future. We’ve received some incredible support which we are really grateful for.

Why are we doing this?

The idea for this website came when Paul heard the sad news that many independents had been forced to close their doors, including The Globe pub, Newbury, a personal favourite thanks to its dog-friendly welcome.

The amount of effort and money people have put into their businesses is nothing short of amazing, and the recently fully refurbished Globe is a great example.

Paul felt there must be something he could do to give back, to help support his local indies in these challenging times. A web designer for more than 20 years, he turned to what he does best, building websites that work. He then called in trusted specialists, and a few favours, to help get this website designed, built, launched and, as far as possible, future-proofed to be an asset for many years to come.

Why did the rest of us do it? We’re all local independent businesses, so we’re in this together.
